  1.  Floors
  2.  ------
  3.    Floors in ^variantname are used to group rooms into related subject areas,
  4. just as rooms are used to group messages into manageable groups.
  5.  
  6.    You, as a user, do NOT have to use floors.  If you choose not to, you suffer
  7. no penalty; you will not lose access to any rooms.  You may use .ECF or ;C (the
  8. latter is easier to use) to decide if you want to use floors.  Feel free to
  9. experiment.

  11.    Floor options are accessed two ways.  First, if you are in floor mode, the
  12. <G>oto and <S>kip commands take you to the next room with new messages on the
  13. current floor; if there are none left, then the system will automatically
  14. switch floors (and let you know) and put you in the first room with new messages
  15. on that level.  (Notice that your pattern of basic use of ^variantname therefore
  16. doesn't really change.)

  18.    Direct access to floor options is via the use of a ";" command (the "'" is
  19. an alternative).  The following commands are currently available (more can be
  20. added if needed):

  22.  <;C>onfigure
  23.  This command toggles your floor mode.
  24.  
  25.  <;G>oto FLOORNAME
  26.  This command causes the system to take you to the named floor.
  27.  
  28.  <;K>nown floors
  29.  This command prints a list of the floors, and the rooms on them, in the system.
  30. (This is a very readable way to get a list of rooms on the system!)
  31.  
  32.  <;S>kip FLOORNAME
  33.  This command causes the system to mark all rooms on the current floor as
  34. Skipped and takes you to the floor that you specify.
  35.  
  36.  <;Z>Forget floor
  37.    This command causes you to forget all the rooms currently on the current
  38. floor.  Unfortunately, it doesn't apply to rooms that are subsequently created
  39. or moved to this floor.  (Sorry.)

  41.    If you create a room, it will be placed on the floor that you are currently
  42. on (i.e., the floor that the room that you were in when you created the new
  43. room is associated with).

  45.    Feel free to experiment, you can't hurt yourself or the system with the
  46. floor stuff unless you ZForget a floor by accident.
